“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
I like to paraphrase it this way:
“Faith is the God-given power within us that brings our hopes and desires to us, little by little, as quickly as we can handle it, and causes us to feel on the inside, right from the start, like we already have it, even before we actually do.”
“…God hath dealt to every man (and woman) the measure of faith.” Romans 12:3. KJV.
“Delight yourself in the Lord ; And He will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalms 37:4 NASB.
“But I will not drive them out in a single year, because the land would become desolate and the wild animals too numerous for you. (30) Little by little I will drive them out before you, until you have increased enough to take possession of the land.” Exodus 23:29-30 NIV.
“But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.” Romans 8:25 NIV.
